A woman broke into her ex-husband’s house while he was asleep

An Ohio woman has been arrested after allegedly breaking into her ex-husband’s home while he was sleeping and firing a gun twice.
Amanda Heller was arrested at the Corrections Center in Northwest Ohio after allegedly breaking into her ex-husband’s home on April 26.
Heller, 31, is alleged to have entered the home of the deceased while he was sleeping, according to a criminal complaint filed in the Bryan Municipal Court and is being watched by Law & Crime. After he entered, he is said to have threatened to kill his ex-husband and “fired the gun twice while he was at home.”
While the victim’s name has not been released publicly, WTOL reported that the homeowner was identified as Heller’s ex-husband.
The criminal complaint said Heller fired a gun into the man’s home twice. However, no injuries were reported and it appears that no one else was home at the time of the incident.
About a month after he broke into a home and opened fire, Heller was taken into custody on May 21. He was charged with aggravated assault, but was charged with attempted aggravated murder, aggravated burglary, domestic violence and unlawful discharge of a weapon at a place or school after his arraignment in Williams County Superior Court.
His bond has been set at $100,000, according to online records viewed by Us Weekly. He remains in custody as of press time.
If Heller is able to post bond and be released from custody, she will not be allowed to have any contact with her ex-husband.
Heller is next scheduled to appear in court on June 22 on his charges.
No additional details have been released about Heller’s relationship with the victim, including how long they lived together, when they divorced and whether he had a reason to break into her home.
It is not yet clear if Heller has entered a plea or retained an attorney after his arrest. The City of Bryan Police Department did not immediately respond Us Weekly’s request for comment on the case.
The investigation into this case is still ongoing.
