BBC News Another Bennet Sister it appeals to the audience – but how Jane Austen fans watching the series?
Based on the novel by Janice Hadlow, Another Bennet Sister following the events that appear Pride and Prejudice from Mary Bennet (Ella Bruccoleri) view. The story then moves from that to follow Mary as she travels to London and the Lake District and the neglected sister from the large Bennet family has a romantic adventure in Regency England.
In addition to Bruccoleri, Another Bennet Sister stars Ruth Jones, Richard E. Grant, Indira Varma, Richard Coyle, Róisín Bhalla, Reggie Absolom again Jasmine Sharp. Laurie Davidson, Dónal Finn, Varada Sethu, Aaron Gill again Maddie Close and appear on the show.
Poppy Gilbert, Molly Wright, Grace Hogg-Robinson, Tanya Reynolds, Anna Fenton-Garvey, Ryan Sampson again Lucy Briers around the characters. The series premiered in the UK in March, which viewers can check out on BBC iPlayer.
In the US, period drama fans can watch Another Bennet Sister on May 6. The series will be available on BritBox in the US and Canada but Amazon Prime also offers a week-long free trial.
Bruccoleri previously teased what fans can expect.
“From an early age, she didn’t seem to have the desirable qualities like her sister,” Bruccoleri told The Hollywood Reporter. “He starts to believe that he’s inherently unlovable. And then when he gets away from his family, he starts to see things differently. I mean, he’s constantly regressing, but it’s a story about the transformative power of kindness, really.”

He continued: “It is thought to be a love story, I personally don’t see it that way. I think it is a love story between Mary and him.
Bruccoleri was excited to reveal her role, adding, “With Mary, she doesn’t understand the rules of the game. She tries incredibly hard to be a people pleaser. And she does that by studying — really deep studying, because that’s what she knows. That’s how her brain works.”
He added: “She is learning how to be loved like her sister, [and] to his mother, especially. But you’re just going about it completely the wrong way. It still doesn’t work. I think I really relate to that in Mary, her diligence. That’s how I approach my work as well – I do it through study rather than feeling. And I’d be more concerned about the money I’m preparing for something.”
