Yellowstone fans expect on-screen surprises when it comes to Rip and Beth Dutton Ranch a spinoff.
Natalie Alyn Lind only he was spoken to Us Weekly about what to expect, saying, “What I love most about the original Yellowstone is the family dynamic. I think family relationships can be very dangerous because your family can hurt you more than anyone.”
Lind, who plays Orena, teased what’s to come.
“Both families are going to fight against each other and to see this combination of the two families coming together … it’s crazy,” he said. “It gets really messy. In the best way. It gets really juicy. I’m so happy.”
Yellowstonewhich premiered in 2018, introduced viewers to the fictional Dutton family. The Paramount Network show ended in 2024, expanding its universe Luke Grimes‘ CBS show The Marshals again Dutton Ranchwhich premiered in May.
“As Beth and Rip struggle to build a future together – away from the ghosts of Yellowstone – they collide with brutal new realities and a ruthless rival farm that can’t protect its kingdom,” reads the show’s synopsis. “In South Texas, blood runs deep, forgiveness is fleeting, and the cost of survival may be your soul.”
Dutton Ranch will introduce new playable characters Annette Bening again Ed Harris. Some new ones include Jai Courtney, LindMarc Menchaca, Juan Pablo Raba again JR Villarreal.
“My arc is going in a direction that I can’t specify, but he starts the season as a completely different person,” said Lind. Us. “Something happens that changes his life forever.”
Dutton Ranch expands Rip and Beth’s world as they meet many new people – including the powerful Jackson family made up of matriarch Beulah (Bening), owner of 10 Petal Ranch. He runs his rich business with sons Joaquin (Raba), known as the fixer in the family and Rob-Will (Courtney), a careless member of the family who begins to react to the series in the pilot episode.
Rob-Will has a daughter – Beulah’s granddaughter – Oreana (Lind) who will inherit the farm but instead finds himself going back against the odds…and finding love with Carter.
“Everyone knows the Duttons and there’s this deep history. For the Jacksons coming into this new franchise, we wanted it to feel like it was an established family so that when you know them, it feels real,” said Lind. Us.
