Days of Our Lives: Kristen’s Plan Backfires – Is She Losing the Right to Keep Rachel?

Days of Our Lives reveals that Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) is ready to retract her statement about shooting EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) so that her daughter Rachel Black (Lorelie Olivia Mote) will confess to the crime. So, the plan was for Kristen to drop all charges against her and for Rachel to get a slap on the wrist or no consequences, preferably.

Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) and Belle Brady (Martha Madison) recently warned Kristen to watch her manners while in court with the judge. But let’s be real, when does Kristen ever get cold? We will talk about what happens when he acts.

Kristen Plans to Withdraw Her Acceptance of Days of Our Lives

Okay, let’s dig into it. So, Kristen retracting her confession in court saved her. He wanted to save Rachel, this would be the time when everything would be fixed. All loose ends are tied up. You know, Kristen gets her freedom. Everything can be good. Except Belle doesn’t think Kristen will be able to do this. He doesn’t think he will do well.

So Kristen came to Brady’s place where she was staying for a while. After visiting her mother Rachel Blake in Alamania. And Kristen said she and her mother are redoing her will. Because his brother Peter Blake (Dan Gauthier) is dead and gone. Kristen was already bitter when Brady and Belle came in to talk this week. And then the siblings make small talk about the new location near Rachel’s school and Marlena Evans’ (Deidre Hall) townhouse. Then the conversation turned to Kristen and Rachel’s upcoming hearing.

Days of Our Lives: Kristen Takes Rachel’s Fall

So, I’m sure you remember that he just walked into court during the trial of Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) when he was charged with attempted murder for allegedly shooting his father. And before that, EJ had remembered everything and had memories of little Rachel shooting him

Therefore, EJ insisted that Kristen must admit to the shooting herself in order to save Johnny. Otherwise EJ would have to reveal that Rachel did it, which he didn’t want to do. But EJ was also not going to risk his son’s freedom to save his daughter. So, it was a bad situation.

Kristen agreed and only then did she, EJ, and Marlena know that Rachel was the shooter. And Marlena said they should let Rachel reminisce on her own time to lessen the mental health impact of the whole show.

Which means Kristen was sent to Statesville and Peter kidnapped Kristen, stealing her from prison. And of course Rachel finally remembered to shoot EJ. Brady then made the very difficult decision to commit Rachel to Bayview for full-time psychiatric care.

And he was making progress until Sophia Choi (RachelBoyd) started targeting Rachel and manipulating her and encouraging the middlemen to do naughty things and basically use her as her son. And if it wasn’t for Sophia, you know, the doctors The Bayview he may have made great progress with Rachel. I think they did something. But not as much as they could have.

But Kristen ignored medical advice from a therapist, ignored Marlena’s advice, and ignored Brady’s wishes. And he took Rachel out of eBayview and brought her back home. And Belle warned at the time that this could disrupt the hearing. Because Rachel is inside The Bayview that was what kept him out of juvie.

Kristen then tried to move in with Brady and told Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) that even though Brady said she could stay for a month, Kristen said she wasn’t planning on going out again. So, he has been getting rich since the jump.

Kristen Takes a Big Risk

And at this point, Brady and Belle are very worried about what will happen at that hearing. Because Kristen checking on Rachel may not go over well with the judge. His being on eBay meant he was getting help and facing some consequences. But not the worst consequences he’s faced since he shot his uncle, you know.

But Kristen gave up all the help she could get at the most important time. And in a way, I think it’s because he wanted to use Rachel as a bargaining chip to get closer to Brady. And he made it absolutely clear to Kristen, don’t mislead the judge about our living arrangements. Brady said it should be clear that he and Kristen are not a couple.

They are parents and agree to be together to help Rachel return to life in Salem after six months The Bayview. So, Rachel is seeing her first therapist again, which didn’t stop her from doing what she did. But he did very well in school. But all that may not be enough.

The Same Judge Who Saw Kristen’s Amazing Confession

Belle warned Kristen that they were facing the exact same judge that handled Johnny’s case. So, this is the same judge that saw Kristen walk into court to admit that she shot EJ. Therefore, Belle said that this judge will consider every little detail about a good toothbrush. And, you know, this is probably the worst judge they could have drawn.

And given Kristen’s emotional state after losing Peter and after finding out that the bones in the crypt belonged to her father Stefano DiMera (Joe Mascolo), there’s no telling what she might say when pressed by the judge. Belle has already warned Kristen that she needs to account for her silence and keep her mouth shut after that.

And he was staring at Belle who told him that if he didn’t keep the zipper, he could take away Rachel’s freedom. They may lose custody of their daughter. But talking to Brady, Belle brought up Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) and that stopped Kristen.

So, he blew up and Brady had to apologize to Belle for the way he acted. But, let’s be real, Kristen might not be able to help herself if she gets mad at the judge. You know, Rachel could be sent back to juvie or back to Bayview or some other mental institution, you know, out of state or away from Salem. They could actually keep him away from Kristen and Brady, especially with his history of CPS incidents.

Kristen Could Blow Rachel’s Hearing on Days of Our Lives

So, if Kristen starts whining about how Bayview wasn’t helping Rachel and they did a terrible job with her treatment, it could all go bad very quickly. Kristen could talk about Dr. Gregory the therapist and how Sophia Choi was a bad influence and did it without wisdom. That would be a familiar thing for Kristen to do.

And if you remember the time when she confessed and lied that she shot EJ, it was, you know, a sweet sacrifice, a mother’s love in an effort to prevent Rachel from getting out of juvie. That surprised everyone that he would sacrifice himself like that, especially Brady. But Kristen also snapped at EJ when she found out that the jury was going to come back with a not guilty verdict for Johnny.

I think it was probably Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) who told them that. So Kristen somehow thought that EJ should have known that he was not guilty and she knows that if he had stopped the confession and everyone would have been fine.

Days of Our Lives: Rachel Home and Her Family

So right now Rachel is happy to be home again and wants to tell the truth and save her mom Kristen. But given that Alice Halsey nailed it Days of Our Lives and she already had her last day on air last week, they should do something with Rachel.

And since they are doing so much in this hearing, I feel that will determine his fate. So my money is on Kristen doing something or saying something that affects the judge and gets Rachel fired. Because maybe they think Kristen is a bad influence, you know, whether it’s in juvie or some other mental hospital far away.

Kristen, you know, might date The Bayview and they say, “Okay, we’ll put him here” that’s in another situation. I suspect we will see Rachel get fired in some way because of this hearing. But we will see.
