Coach of the Dallas Cowboys Brian Schottenheimer gave an update to the quarterback Dak Prescotthis thought following his separation from his ex-husband Sarah Jane Ramos.
“Dak and I had a lot of conversations,” Schottenheimer, 53, told reporters on Monday, March 30, via Dallas Morning News. “He’s in a really good place, obviously what he’s going through is incredibly difficult.
The coach added that he tries to stay close to his players no matter what they are facing off the field.
“I try to talk to all the boys,” stressed coach Schottenheimer. “I reach a lot of them. I actually have a plan. I have a little plan, a little bit, I think, I get carried away, I’m forced into that in trying to reach the position teams to get in. Some of them don’t really come back and that’s good, too. I get it. Hey guys, I hear it, it happened.”
Prescott, 32, and Ramos, 32, abruptly called off their wedding and sent guests an apology email to explain the situation earlier this month. They were supposed to tie the knot on April 10 in Lake Como, Italy.
“It is with heavy hearts that we are privately informing attendees that we have made the very difficult decision to cancel our wedding,” they wrote in an email, via TMZ. “We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you and we welcome your prayers.”
Before the couple’s shocking announcement, Ramos appeared to talk about problems in the relationship in an Instagram post on March 5.
“I truly believe that you can face anything in life as long as you have really good friends,” she captioned a photo from her bachelorette party. “I love these girls so much ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥.”
Speculations on social media are rampant given the nature of the two’s sudden wedding cancellation, with multiple reports surfacing that the NFL star was caught cheating using incognito social media profiles just weeks before his wedding.

“There was no shaking in the lead, and there was no major argument or outburst,” his lawyer said. People on March 9. “It was a mutual decision.”
His statement continued, “They love their girls, and are determined to raise their children together in a loving and beautiful way.
Ramos came under fire when fans speculated on social media that she and Prescott may not be agreeing on a prenuptial agreement.

“This had nothing to do with the prenup,” Ramos explained via Instagram on March 9. “I hope we can put an end to those rumors now.”
Prescott and Ramos went official on Instagram in November 2023 and confirmed one month later that they were expecting a baby. They now share daughters Margaret Jane “MJ” Rose, 2, and Aurora Rayne, 10 months.
The former couple announced their engagement in October 2024, after Prescott proposed with a 10-carat emerald engagement ring worth $1 million.
