Celtics star Derrick White doesn’t believe in the moon landing

The star of the Boston Celtics Derrick White raised questions about the 1969 moon landing while discussing his connection to various conspiracy theories.
On the Monday, March 23 episode of his “White Noise” podcast, White, 31, recalled a recent conversation he had with the Celtics head coach. Joe Mazulla in the gym.
“He was on the treadmill when I lifted him up, he turned around and said, ‘Can you believe we landed on the moon?'” said Mhlophe. “I don’t think we did. I’m someone who doesn’t live on the moon.”
White backed away quickly, but slowly.
“Maybe we did, but I don’t think we did,” he continued. “I don’t know. I really don’t know. But I don’t think we did.”
During a radio appearance on Boston’s “Zolak & Bertrand” earlier this month, Mazzulla, 37, called White a “conspirator.”
“I wouldn’t call myself a conspiracy theorist. I don’t think I’m that extreme,” White said on the podcast. “But I think they’re very interesting. And you know I like to argue, so it makes sense that I get into things like this.”
He added, “Conspiracy theories are the same, there are two major arguments. You can pick and choose which side you want to be on and you can say whatever you want.”
White and Mazzula, who has coached the Celtics 2022, will always argue with each other.
“Joe and I often agree,” said White. “We tend to be on the same side.”
White pointed out that his moon landing theory is just a topic, but suggested that those discussions would be better served on a podcast.
“I have other conspiracies, but I don’t know if this is the right time to reveal them … I have a big one that probably no one will ever think about,” he said. “But I think about it a lot.”
On the field, the Celtics currently find themselves in the middle of a fierce Eastern Conference competition. Boston currently sits five games behind the first-place Detroit Pistons, and a half-game ahead of the 3rd-place New York Knicks.
Despite his busy schedule, White still finds time to be a guest The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last week.
“It was the opposite,” White told a friend who hosts the podcast. Alex Welsh. “I got a phone call three weeks ago [saying] Fallon is interested in maybe being with you. I say, ‘Me? That sounds crazy.’ But then it turned out that I was able to be there. I had fun.”
White added, “I never thought I would be on Jimmy Fallon, or that he would want me. To go out and have fun, it was a bucket list item.”
