Cast Away Tom Hanks’ son Chet is Missing in Colombia

Tom Hanks‘son Chet Hanks facing many Get rid of it jokes after revealing he was stuck in Colombia without his American passport.

“Free me! Free me,” Chet, 35, joked in an Instagram video on Friday, February 27.

I Running point The actress explained that she recently visited Puerto Rico for her “Max’s birthday party” and “had a great time.” After the birthday celebrations, Chet decided to visit another friend in Medellín, Colombia.

“Sounds good, doesn’t it? Well, check this out,” he laughed before revealing his nightmare travel story.

According to Chet, he had been “carrying my Greek passport because I’m a dual citizen” and thus decided to leave his US passport at home as it was about to expire.

“Sometimes they don’t allow you to enter the country, even if it hasn’t expired, but it’s about to expire,” said Chet.

Chet obviously had a bad time in Medellín but the trip took a depressing turn when he got to the airport to fly home.

“I’m going to the airport to check [for] my flight is three hours earlier,” he said. They told me that if I use a foreign passport, I need a green card to return to America.”

The problem with the airport staff’s request is that Chet does not have a green card as he is a “citizen of the United States.”

“I’m literally stuck in Colombia. I’m stuck in Medellín,” he admitted to viewers. “It’s true, there are very bad places where it’s stuck, but I really don’t know what to do, and the only embassy that will solve this is in Bogota.”

Chet explained that he was reluctant to travel from Medellín to Bogota to solve the travel problem.

“So, let me go,” he jokingly pleaded.

Us Weekly has reached out to Chet’s representatives for comment.

Chet didn’t seem too stressed about his travel situation, as he later shared several videos and photos of himself partying with friends.

The comments on Chet’s video were full of fans talking about making fun of his dad’s old movie Get rid of itwhere Tom played a fedex courier stranded on an island in the South Pacific.

“You better call someone in your family to FedEx your passport for you ASAP,” one Instagram user joked, while another added, “Tom Hanks has no luck with FedEx.”

One commenter made a reference to one of Tom’s movies by suggesting that the Oscar winner might be “waiting at the airport” for Chet. (2004 comedy Terminal stars Tom, 69, as an Eastern European traveler stuck at New York City’s John F. Kennedy International Airport.)

Before his vacation troubles, Us Weekly spoke exclusively with the actor and singer about a possible collaboration with his mother, Rita Wilson. Chet — who has released music under the moniker “Chet Haze” — initially joked that he “can’t” do a song with his mom. (While best known for his acting, Wilson, 69, has also released five studio albums as a singer-songwriter.)

“Maybe I’ll have to sign my life away,” he joked Us at the Clive Davis Pre-Grammys Gala at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on January 31.

Pressed on what kind of music they could make together, Chet revealed, “I don’t know, maybe we’ll have to do, like, really ratchet, like a strip club song or something, I don’t know. You never know. I think he put it on him.”
