Buc-ee’s earns an ‘F’ grade from the Better Business Bureau for ignoring complaints

“Buc-cee has TERRIBLE customer service,” the January complaint said, referring to the lost or stolen gift card. “They don’t have a phone number to call, only an email. I have filled out their form with all the information multiple times and have not heard back from them. I want my gift card that I paid for and I want them to treat their customers better.”

Buc-ee’s did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

Despite the recent grade failure, Buc-ee’s has not slowed its growth momentum. The company currently has 54 US locations in 11 states, with plans to expand to Ohio, Arizona, Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, Nebraska, North Carolina and Wisconsin.

Large-format Buc-ee’s stores occupy tens of thousands of square feet, with an average of 120 gas stations and 700 to 1,000 parking spaces. Signature items like Beaver Nuggets and “fresh brisket on board” have become regular staples of road trips.

The company ranked No. 5 in the 2025 American Customer Satisfaction Index for convenience stores, edging out big brands like Shell and ExxonMobil. By the end of 2025, Buc-ee’s achieved America’s number 1 fast food restaurant in the dunnhumby ratings, fast food giants such as In-N-Out and Chick-fil-A by customer preference.

The chain has also become famous for its salary transparency — starting pay can range from $16 to $20 an hour and full-time managers can earn $100,000 to $225,000, according to large hiring signs posted in department stores. Employee benefits include 401(k) plans with 100% company matching and three weeks of paid vacation.
