Britney Spears Appears for First Time Since DUI

Britney Spears was seen for the first time since his recent DUI arrest.
According to a photo obtained by social media fan page BritneysVault, the pop star, 44, was spotted at Malibu Country Mart on Sunday, March 22. In the photo, she is shown ordering a drink from Starbucks.
Spears wore black sunglasses and a long brown coat while waiting. He was also carrying an orange wallet.
Earlier this month, Spears was arrested near his home in Ventura County, California, “on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs,” according to a California Highway Patrol report. The singer was arrested on March 4 and sent to the hospital to be tested for alcohol in his blood. He was booked and released the next morning.
“This was an unfortunate and unprovoked incident,” a spokesperson for Spears said Us Weekly at that time. “Britney will take the appropriate action and comply with the law, and I hope this is the first step in a long overdue change in Britney’s life. I hope she can get the help and support she needs during this difficult time.”
A spokesperson for Spears added that the “Toxic” singer will be surrounded by friends and family – including sons Preston, 20, and Jayden, 19 – following the incident. (Spears shares Preston and Jayden’s ex Kevin Federline.)

“His boys will be spending time with him. His loved ones will come up with an overdue plan, which is necessary to make him successful so he can live well,” the statement concluded.
Spears is scheduled to appear in court on May 4.
After news of Spears’ involvement with the law emerged, the source said Us that the Grammy winner’s inner circle wants him to take the necessary steps that will allow him to prioritize his well-being.
“His team wants him in rehab or in a program that will help him get to a better place,” said the insider. “Everyone around him is hoping this will be his wake-up call.”
The source said Spears’ behavior has been “very bad lately.”
“He spends a lot of time alone at home which leads to him making bad choices like drinking,” said the insider. “He’s home now again [her son] Jayden is going to spend time with him so he can take care of himself. Britney is upset but she doesn’t really understand the consequences.”
