Dakota Mortensen Breaks The Silence On Taylor Frankie Paul

Dakota Mortensen He has come out and talked about the closed police investigation regarding the domestic violence incident involving his ex-husband Taylor Frankie Paul.
In an Instagram post shared early Monday, April 20, Dakota, 33, talked about the attention she’s received after news broke on March 16 that she and Taylor, 31, were involved in a fight that reportedly halted production on season 5. “In the past few weeks, I took a step back and had time to leave the chaos. That space was a breath of fresh air and gave me clarity. Dakota’s post continued, “I regret not leaving the difficult cycle sooner. I’m not perfect, and I take responsibility for my part. I’m very sorry to those who hurt me. At the same time, I don’t agree with the way this situation has been portrayed publicly. It doesn’t show the full context of what happened or the impact it had on me and my son.”
The statement comes after one day Us Weekly shared details about the alleged February altercation between Dakota and Taylor. Dakota said at the time that Taylor “grabbed” her neck and throat during an argument, and Dakota’s friend called the Draper Police Department on February 23 saying that Dakota had been hit by Taylor. The friend told the 911 dispatcher that Dakota was worried about reporting the incident because of the celebrity’s “Taylor status.”
District attorney Sim Gill he told Us in a statement dated 14 April where the alleged was considered in detail. “After reviewing reports and evidence submitted to the Draper Police Department and the West Jordan Police Department, the Salt Lake County District Attorney’s Office declined to file charges against Taylor Frankie Paul,” the statement confirmed.

He added, “I’m very grateful for all the encouragement and support I’ve received, and I’m determined to show up in a way that reflects that. My goal, over time and when appropriate, is to use what I’ve learned in a way that supports others navigating similar situations.”

Three years before the alleged altercation in February, Taylor was arrested following an altercation with Dakota. He pleaded guilty to aggravated assault at the time, and other charges of domestic violence involving a child, aggravated battery and criminal mischief were dismissed.
