Louis Tomlinson Unfollows Zayn Malik After Alleged Feud

Louis Tomlinson appears to have severed online ties with his One Direction bandmate Zayn Malik.

Tomlinson, 34, unfollowed Malik, 33, on Instagram as of Saturday, April 18. When the change happened is unclear, but Tomlinson’s sisters, Phoebe again Lotand they no longer follow the “Pillowtalk” singer. Tomlinson still follows other members of his 1D band, Harry styles, Niall Horan and late Liam Payne.

Tomlinson’s move on social media comes just one day later The Sun reported on allegations of conflict between artists. The incident is said to have happened while the two were filming their undisclosed three-episode series.

The series, produced by Campfire Studios, is set to follow Tomlinson and Malik as they “embark on a road trip across America on a spontaneous journey of reunions, exploration and lots of laughs,” according to a press release in the fall of 2025.

The former bandmates will once again open up about “life, love, loss, fatherhood” with their late bandmate Payne. (Malik is the father of daughter Khai, 5, with whom he lives ex Gigi Hadidwhile Tomlinson shares son Freddie, 8, with ex Briana Jungwirth. )

Shortly after news broke of Tomlinson’s feud with Malik, the director of the doc, Nicola Marshshared a post about the Sun’s reporting through his Instagram Stories, with screenshots taken by multiple outlets.

The future of docuseries is unclear. Us Weekly has reached out to Tomlinson, Malik and Campfire Studios for comment.

Tomlinson and Malik met in 2010 when they both appeared IX-Factor and paired with Style, Horan and Payne to form One Direction. After that they shot to global superstardom, remaining in the top five until Malik’s departure in 2015. 1D announced their official disbandment the following year in January 2016.

While talking to Us In 2017, Malik confirmed that his relationship with the other members of the group had changed since the group broke up, but insisted that everyone remained in “social harmony.”

“It’s not the way it used to be. Obviously, we were very close because we were together all the time, spending 24 hours a day in the band, and now we’re not the same, so we live our lives,” he said. Us. “We are all growing up as men, and we still communicate and touch each other, just not like before.”

Tomlinson said The Sun the same year he and Malik had just reunited.

“My mom said, ‘You have to get back in touch with Zayn. Life is too short,'” Tomlinson recalled at the time, adding that the couple “really care about each other.”

Tomlinson later said Payne’s death had reunited the teammates, but he wasn’t sure the renewed bond would last.

“I think we’ll see in time,” he said Billboard in the January interview. “Usually, there’s a closeness – it feels a lot closer than it was. But I think we’re all so busy, it’s hard to keep that harmony.”

The “Lemonade” singer noted that the relationship was different from person to person. “Like Niall – and I hope he can say the same about me – we haven’t been able to text each other for a year and drink beer and talk non-stop,” he said.
