Cyndi Lauper’s Husband Sues Amid Son Assault Claims

According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly On Tuesday, March 24, the woman alleged that Declyn, 28, sexually assaulted her in a penthouse in New York City in November 2020 after she “refused to perform oral sex on him.” TMZ was the first to report on the filing.
On Monday, March 23, the documents explained that the woman, who has not been identified, said that Thorton, 72, “allowed” the incident “because he rented the place to sleep and was aware of” Declyn’s allegations “of violence and sexual abuse.”
Us Weekly has reached out to representatives for Thorton and Declyn for comment.
The lawsuit alleges that Declyn, who goes by his stage name Dex, “invited the woman … and sent her money for a ride in a private car,” according to the outlet, which reported that “when he arrived, she said he seemed upset, and they disagreed with his fellatio.”
The woman then said that “when she insisted on leaving, Dex took her phone and threatened to break it if she didn’t agree,” before he “pushed her on her bed with her private parts exposed, held her arms down, and forced her private part into her mouth.”
