Reese Witherspoon turned 50 on Sunday, and she mourned the big day with a carousel of highlights, noting that laughing every day is important.
The movie star pulls some interesting shots from each Instagram carousel photo, captioning it: “Turning 50 today… just thought I’d show you some highlights. You have to laugh every day.”
In the cover photo, Witherspoon wore a summer dress and had her hair done by a stylist, while posing with a grin.
Another photo showed Witherspoon looking happy as she held a colorful drink in her hand.

The “Legally Blonde” star also posted a photo of herself in the dentist’s chair, pretending to take a nap while reading a text, along with a number of other photos showing off her adorable facial expression.

His celebrity friends took to the comments to wish him a happy birthday.
Natalie Portman wrote: “Happy birthday to the greatest of all! You are an amazing and inspiring person. Here’s to the best year yet!”
Ali Larter said: “Happy birthday!!! Only getting better!” add heart emojis.
Kerry Washington told him: “I LOVE YOU SO MUCH,” alongside a balloon, heart eyes, ornaments and a heart emoji.

Two days earlier, Witherspoon reflected on turning 50, and the lessons she learned, and when she was 40, 30 and 20 years old.
“I turn 50 on Sunday, and I can’t help but reflect on the years that shaped me into who I am today. I feel so grateful,” she wrote, adding a heart emoji.

He continued, reflecting on his lessons from the age of 40: “40, with purpose, to try new things, to fully embrace life.”
“Turning 40 felt like my first deep breath. I know who I am now – and I want what I want. Being productive, fighting for women’s issues, and helping others find their voice lights me up. I’m still working hard, but now it’s meaningful. I co-wrote my first novel, explored new projects, and pushed myself in ways I’ve never done before,” she wrote.

When she turned 30 she wrote: “Finding my voice, balancing motherhood, shaping my path.”
Adding: “I was learning to be more confident – I was learning how to be a mother while doing work. I started producing because I wanted to tell important stories, stories about women that were not being told. Wild again Big Little Lies I felt like the points were changing. I realized that I could create my own opportunities instead of waiting for them.”

When he turned 20, he said: “I’m ambitious, I’m worried, and I’m tasting my first fame.”
Witherspoon continued: “I was scared of everything, but I kept going. The election again Malicious Intentionsthen I won an Oscar when I was 29 Go Line. I was working non-stop, trying to figure out life, how to be a mother, and I didn’t know what I was doing half the time. But I was learning, and I found that I can handle more than I thought.”
