Chuck Norris Fans Pay Tribute to His Walk of Fame Star

Chuck NorrisFans left flowers and memorials at his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame following the star’s death at the age of 86.

Us Weekly specially received a fan-created temporary memorial statue on Hollywood Boulevard, featuring many flowers and a small Academy Award medal. Norris received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in December 1989 in recognition of his contributions to the film industry.

Many memorials and tributes have been shared since Norris’ family confirmed his death on Friday, March 2020. Norris was hospitalized in Hawaii for an undisclosed emergency the day before but the cause of his death has not yet been released.

“It is with heavy hearts that our family shares the sudden passing of our beloved Chuck Norris yesterday morning,” his family said on Instagram. “Although we would like to keep the circumstances private, please know that he was surrounded by his family and at peace. On earth, he was a fighter, an actor and a symbol of strength. To us, he was a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, an amazing brother and the heart of our family.”

Their statement continued, “He lived his life with faith, purpose and unwavering devotion to the people he loved. Through his work, discipline and kindness, he inspired millions around the world and left a lasting impact on many lives. Although our hearts are broken, we are so grateful for the life he lived and the unforgettable times we were blessed to share with him.”

“The love and support he received from fans around the world meant a lot to him, and our family is very grateful for it. To him, you weren’t just fans, you were his friends,” Norris’ statement concluded.

Norris had nearly sixteen years in Hollywood working as a martial artist and star of classic action films such as Not in Action, Delta Force again Materials 2. In the 1990s, he starred in over 200 episodes of Western TV series Walker, Texas Ranger.

The Hollywood icon was the father of five children – sons Mike again Eric Norris from his first marriage to Dianne Holechekthe daughter named Dina Norris in another relationship in the 1960s, with twins Dakota again Daniele Norris and his second wife, Enter O’Kelley.

His twins Dakota and Danilee sent heartfelt messages of respect to their late father just hours after his death was announced on Friday.

“Dad, it’s hard to find the right words for this, but I’ll do my best,” Dakota, 24, wrote on Instagram. “You have been a man I looked up to all my life. Your generosity, your kindness, your courage, your integrity, your strength, your discipline and your faith in Jehovah were just a few of the things I always admired about you. You lived your life with the purpose and love of all people.

Danilee, 24, added on her Instagram account, “Dad was my protector when I was born and as soon as he held me in his arms, I was his little girl.

“Dad loved deeply and cared for every single person in his life with great compassion,” she continued. “He may have a hero on the outside, but his heart was full of love and I’m so grateful that that’s what he and my mother passed on to me.”

Grandson of Chuck Greta Norris – whose father is actor Mike – remembered his personality even after spending decades as an action hero.

“If you had the chance to meet him you knew he was the most down to earth person,” Greta wrote on Instagram on Friday. “In a room full of people, he would make it known that he only listened to you. He made everyone he met feel like a friend.”

He added, “I am always grateful and proud to be his grandson. Dad, I love you so much. Thank you for everything. The world lost an icon and I lost my grandfather.”
