HR executive Kristin Cabot took swipes at Gwyneth Paltrow and Ryan Reynolds over the Coldplay Kiss Cam scandal.
Cabot insisted that Hollywood should have gotten out of the game instead of releasing an ad for the company he worked for.
“I was very disappointed by that,” Cabot explained during an interview on “The Oprah Podcast.” “I felt like Gwyneth, a company person [Goop] it is based on or built on promoting the welfare of women and women… I don’t know why he feels the need to throw gas on the fire and get involved in all this.”
“It just felt hypocritical to me and unnecessary,” he added.

Cabot also disputed Reynolds’ part in the ad, mocking the viral moment.
“I don’t want to let Ryan Reynolds go either,” he said. “He produced the ad, he created it, and his wife just got something like this a year ago.”
“I find it really amazing that he thought this was a good way to get paid,” Cabot added.

Winfrey said she called Paltrow to ask her about the ad.
“He said he was told that you and Andy Byron had signed on for that ad, and he said he wouldn’t have done it if he hadn’t heard that you had signed on to the show,” Winfrey said, explaining that Paltrow had given permission to share the information.
“You told me that too,” replied Cabot.

Cabot admitted that the commercial just added fuel to the fire.
“It did everything at the time and, in the days or weeks that followed, it made everything harder,” he said. “It made it very difficult for my kids as well. I think when celebrities get involved like that … they’re young, like I said, they know who you are. They know, and they just added to it in a way that wasn’t necessary. But people have their needs and I can’t guess what those are.”
