Drag Racing Pig Star Hospitalized After Eating Hamburger

RuPaul’s Drag Race The creator of World of Wonder is asking fans to help the first ever queen to finish the game, Victoria “PorkChop” Parkerafter a health problem.

“Recently, Victor [Ray Bowling]or as we affectionately know him as ‘PorkChop,’ he has had a very difficult life and was hospitalized after eating a hamburger at a large grocery store and now faces many ongoing medical challenges,” a note shared by World of Wonder on Instagram read. [which] it lasted 72 hours. 911 was called and he was taken to the hospital by ambulance.”

The note — signed “PorkChop Care Team” — was posted by World of Wonder on Friday, March 13, along with a link to a GoFundMe fundraiser for the drag queen, 56. (As of publication, the fundraising appeal has raised $4,300, with a goal of hitting $6,000.)

“Recently, I, Victor – aka PorkChop – have faced some serious life challenges,” PorkChop wrote on the GoFundMe page. “After preparing a frozen hamburger patty at a supermarket, I became very ill. Within 24 hours, I was taken by ambulance to AV Medical Center, where I spent the next week under arrest.

Porkchop continued, “After a full week of tests, my doctors diagnosed me with Hyponatremia (intestinal infection), Acute Kidney Injury, Atrial Fibrillation, and Hypertension. I was finally released on March 8th with strict orders of bed rest for 14-21 days, a visiting nurse, physical care, lots of home support.”

PorkChop shared the encouraging news that he is expected to make a “full recovery,” though he admitted that “the journey ahead will be challenging.”

“I’m slowly relearning how to walk, and continued physical therapy is essential to help me regain my strength,” explained PorkChop. “My immediate need is a medical scooter, which would greatly improve my quality of life and allow me to regain my independence. Being able to go out, especially in a large park in my area, would be a huge boost to my mental and physical health as I recover.”

I Drag Race The alum continued, “Sometimes, a small act of kindness can make a big difference. I have spent many years bringing happiness to others, and now I find myself in need of support. I hope you will keep me in your thoughts and consider making a donation to help me on my road to recovery. Your generosity will mean more than words can say. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

As of publication, World of Wonder has given the largest single donation of $1,500 while Drag Race season 6 winner Bianca Del Rio donated $1,000.

Along with sharing the medical update on PorkChop, World of Wonder sent well wishes and encouraged donations to a GoFundMe campaign.

“We are sending all our love to Victoria ‘PorkChop’ Parker, who has had a very difficult time and was recently hospitalized,” World of Wonder wrote on Instagram. “Please consider donating to Porkchop’s GoFundMe to help our legendary queen on her road to recovery.”

PorkChop made history as the first ever contestant Drag Race history in 2009. Since becoming a fan favorite, PorkChop later became a star RuPaul in a 2021 TV movie The Dog That Stole Christmas and it appeared on Netflix AJ and the Queen.
