Jack Wagner shares his honest advice for maintaining a lasting relationship.
The 66-year-old actor and singer married his second wife, singer-songwriter Michelle Wolf, in May 2025 after more than four years of dating.
In an interview with Fox News Digital, Wagner, who recently competed on “The Masked Singer,” reflected on how love feels different later in life and revealed the biggest lesson she’s learned about making marriage work.

“Let the other person be who they are and if there’s a problem, conflict resolution tools are key to marriage. And usually, keeping your mouth shut,” he said.
“That’s what I got,” Wagner continued. “If there is a problem, take a little – just stop. And a little, I think, space and peace, and it passes.”
“It’s not as deep and personal and wonderful as I think what things might have been if I was younger, or maybe he was younger, right?” he added. “You’ll be a little wiser, I hope, as you grow.”
Wagner was previously married to actress Kristina Wagner, née Malandro, 63. The two met on the set of “General Hospital,” where Kristina played Felicia Cummings, the love interest of Wagner’s character Frisco Jones.

The former couple shared two sons, Peter and Harrison Wagner. Harrison He died in June 2022 at the age of 27.
Wagner and Wolf began communicating about their music in 2021. Wagner previously told Soap Opera Digest that the two “met during filming” when he was working on a new musical for which Wolf provided background vocals.

Wagner and Wolf went public with their relationship a year later. The couple tied the knot in a private ceremony on May 18, 2025, at the Bel-Air Country Club in Los Angeles in the presence of 40 close family members and friends, including Wagner’s son Peter and Wolff’s daughter Ornella from a previous relationship.
The actor, who starred as naval captain Nick Marone on “The Bold and the Beautiful” from 2003 to 2012 and has also made guest appearances, recalled that he and Wolff went on their honeymoon in Italy when he returns to the show for a new story arc in 2025.
“I talked to him [“The Bold and the Beautiful” executive producer] Brad Bell, I met him, and the show is getting 60 shares in Italy,” Wagner told Fox News Digital. “So I said, ‘Do you want me to do any press while I’m there?’ You go, ‘Wait a minute, what if you go back to the show? I have this issue, we can wrap it up by filming in Naples.’
“‘We were like, ‘let’s go on a honeymoon in Italy! So we went for about five or six days and then we worked for five days. So, just to be honest, CBS paid for most of our honeymoon. So that was great,” he said with a laugh. “And I did a great three-month arc back on ‘The Bold and the Beautiful,’ which I love the show. I love the people on the show and Brad Bell and I are great friends. So it was kind of one of those things where it worked out for both of us, and it was great to be back on the show.”

Shortly after their wedding, Wagner made headlines when he said that he and Wolff had no intention of living together after marriage.
In a June 2025 interview with Parade, “The Bold and the Beautiful” star revealed that she and Wolf agreed to “not rock the boat” and stick to the path they built during their relationship.
“It’s an adjustment in my schedule, for sure, right? And Michelle is a singer, and she has an R&B rock band, so she’s a monster singer. We can make it work,” Wagner said.

In a recent interview with Fox News Digital, Wagner clarified his words, saying that the couple “do not really live in separate houses.”
“We kept our homes. So we just go back and forth,” Wagner explained. “You have a place in Malibu, thank you. I live in the city a lot so we can do it downtown or up.”
“We don’t live apart,” he continued. “I think I said that because I did a little guest spot on ‘Bold and the Beautiful’ last year, we were newlyweds, and we didn’t really live apart, we kept both of our homes. That’s what works for us. We wanted to keep what worked and was magical in our relationship, which leads to marriage, and it works.”
“You know, it’s nice to have a night off when we want to,” he added. “And that’s what we do, and it really helps the relationship, I believe.”

When asked if he believes Wolf’s life will benefit other couples, Wagner noted that their stage of life gives them the flexibility to plan their marriage in a way that works best for them.
“Listen to this because I believe that we are adults and we don’t have small children, when you raise a family it is different,” he said. “So I think we have the gift that later in life we pick and choose how we want to live and what works for us.”
“But I would say, yes,” Wagner continued. “Maybe in a second marriage or whatever. I think you have to get real about, ‘Hey, this isn’t personal. What’s going to be best for both of us to love each other as deeply as we can?’ “And sometimes having less space makes it better.

Wagner recently competed in “The Masked Singer’s” season 14 as the mysterious contestant “Eggplant.” He started playing in the second week of Jan. 14 and competed for eight weeks before being eliminated and revealed at the end of the “Ozzfest Night” episode on March 4.
While speaking with Fox News Digital, Wagner, who stars in the hit series, “When Calls the Heart,” explained that she was unable to keep her participation in the show a secret due to her filming schedule.
“We were wrapping up season 13 when I started shooting ‘The Masked Singer.’ “So I was coming back from Vancouver and the end of the season is the trial scene, and I’m leading the trial,” he recalled. “I’m like Tom Cruise in ‘A few Good Men.’ I have all the dialogue.”
Wagner said her fellow actors began to wonder why she was constantly flying back and forth between Los Angeles and Vancouver, where “When Calls the Heart” was filmed, during production.
“So I’m like, ‘Dude, I’m an eggplant in ‘Masked Singer.’ And they’re like, ‘Eggplant?!'” he recalls with a laugh. “Hallmark had to know because they had to adjust my shooting schedule so you know it went out to the cast, and it was really fun to see.”

Wagner went on to praise her experience in “The Masked Singer,” saying she would “do it again.”
“I loved eggplant. It was something, I would say, difficult in terms of movement. My first song out of the box was ‘Rocket Man,’ which was an incredible gift to sing, to be able to sing Elton John’s ‘Rocket Man,'” Wagner recalled. “And I felt my voice was strong. I felt that it hit the nail on the head, so I respected the song.”
“But when I saw it, what I was doing inside…it didn’t really translate,” Wagner continued. “It was really like this moving, giant eggplant-type costume. So it was an adjustment to see, but it didn’t stop me from trying to move as much as I could.”
“They had to throw the suit over me on the right side, so I had to go through the space below and get put in a harness and put my arms in these sleeves,” he added. “So I think the downside was that I was limited in terms of being able to show my body or do anything with the song ‘Linkin Park’ or ‘American Woman.’

“So with ‘Linkin Park,’ I tried to do the jump and whatever I can do because I’m a theater actor, right? I’ve done a lot of stage and Broadway. And so I wanted to give the theater everything I have, but I was limited a little bit because of the costume, but again, it was an attractive costume, you know, so it had some pluses, some minuses and that makes sense.”
Wagner also shared Wolff’s reaction to his appearance on the show, saying that as a professional musician, he watched with a highly trained eye, and was truly impressed.

“He really takes ‘When Calls the Heart’. I watch him watch the show because he’s deeply invested. When he’s watching something, he’s not just like the watch kind of dudes. He’s watching carefully,” he explained.

“What did you see? [‘The Masked Singer’ was] about, right?” Wagner continued. “He could see that – I don’t use the word ‘goofy’ – but he liked to have fun, didn’t he? This is a fun show. There are many moving parts. I had to explain to him, ‘You don’t understand. We had to stop and go because they had to change the sets of each character, like moving the dance costumes and the dancers change according to the theme of the church.

“So he took it all in as an audience member and was always saying, ‘Wow, your voice, your voice is so beautiful.’ Because I told him that I was tied with a mic, the headpiece of this thing is bouncing and wet. So you gave him a lot of respect by just being able to put out a decent voice under the circumstances. “
“Masked Singer” Season 14 airs new episodes Wednesdays at 8 pm ET on FOX, streaming will be available the next day on Hulu and Disney+.
