Soap Actress Colleen Zenk Arrested for DUI After Crash

As the World Changes alum Colleen Zenk is facing DUI charges after being arrested in Florida.
Multiple outlets have confirmed that Zenk, 73, was arrested in May after a two-car accident. The soap star was charged with two misdemeanors: DUI causing injury to property or another person and DUI with a blood alcohol level of 0.15 or higher.
“The charges are being defended. Ms. Zenk has not been convicted of anything,” Zenk’s representative said in a statement. People. “The truth will come out in court.”
According to the arrest report, obtained by Soap Opera Networka witness told authorities they saw Zenk pull out of a handicapped parking space when his car hit a parked car.
Zenk allegedly continued driving before he was stopped. After getting out of his car, Zenk showed signs of unsteadiness. The responding sergeant noted in his report that he detected the odor of alcohol.
While speaking with authorities at the scene, Zenk said he had consumed “two cups of wine.” He agreed to perform balance tests before showing various signs of impairment, including balance problems and difficulty following instructions.
Deputies placed Zenk under arrest after field training. Zenk eventually provided two breath samples that averaged 0.206 and 0.192 BAC.
Zenk posted bond after his arrest and entered a not guilty plea. His next court appearance is scheduled for July 29.
