Amy Kaplan’s Golden Bachelor Daughter Lexi Adopts Baby

The Golden Bachelor alum Amy KaplanMkhulu’s family just got bigger.
Amy tells herself Us Weekly that his daughter Lexi Kaplan Giudice33, welcomed her first child, a son named Jordan Arthur, marking a milestone for the Kaplan family and officially making Amy a grandmother for the first time.
Jordan arrived on Thursday, June 18, at 5:36 p.m., weighing 9 pounds, 11 ounces. Although Amy admits the title of “grandma” still feels surreal, meeting her granddaughter quickly changed everything.
“You know what’s funny? I don’t feel like I’m a grandma,” Amy said Us laughing. “I am very young, even though I know I am old.”
But after spending time with baby Jordan, she says she’s completely smitten.
“I love him. He’s precious. He’s beautiful,” Amy gushed. “I love holding him, opening his little eyes, and he was looking at me and listening to me talk, he is alert.
The emotional moment Jordan entered the world was one Amy says she will never forget.
“When he was born, I was crying,” she remembers. “As soon as I saw her, she was precious. She’s a combination of Lexi and Jeff. She looks like the perfect combination of them.”
Jordan’s middle name has special significance in the family. Amy reveals that Arthur was chosen to honor her late father, and they chose the name “J” to have the same initials as Lexi’s husband. Jeff Giudice. The couple had been calling their son “Jordy” for months before his arrival and felt confident they had the perfect name before the due date.
Lexi, who married husband Jeff on May 31, 2025, announced her pregnancy earlier this year. After nine months of waiting, she says finally meeting her son made all the challenges worthwhile.
“I’m tired,” Lexi said Us in the hospital. “I didn’t sleep the second night last night. The first night is no game. It’s really hard, but it’s worth it.”

Jordan was delivered via C-section after what Amy described as a very smooth process. Amy and Lexi’s twins, Allie Kaplan Rutsteinshe waited anxiously nearby while Jeff walked Lexi through the surgery.
“Lexi was a little nervous and didn’t know what to expect,” Amy said. “He got an epidural, and 45 minutes later, he was out and had stitches.”
For Lexi, the most memorable moment came when she finally laid eyes on her son despite battling nausea throughout the process.
“I was very nauseous throughout the operation,” she recalls. But when I saw her, I just said, ‘I love her.’ I was crying, and he was perfect and amazing. “
Watching her daughter enter motherhood left Amy thinking about how quickly time flies.
“It’s surreal,” he says. “I just had them the other day. Thirty-three years later, it’s scary.”
Adding to the excitement is the fact that Lexi is not the only Kaplan expecting twin. Allie is currently pregnant with a baby girl and is due on September 7, which means Amy will welcome two grandchildren less than 10 weeks apart.
Fans first met Amy The Golden Bachelor season 2, but she and her daughters have since created a social media platform dedicated to family-oriented content. Known online as The Kaplan Twins and Kaplan Twins Mom, the trio often share snippets of their close relationship, family milestones, motherhood journeys, life moments and behind-the-scenes updates on everyday life.
Allie says that seeing her sister become a mother made her upcoming motherhood journey sink in.
“It’s crazy and amazing to finally see him here!” Allie said Us. “I watched my sister’s belly grow for nine months and I still can’t believe she was growing inside of her. Seeing Lexi hold her for the first time and become a mother was a special moment. It made everything feel so real right away.”
She adds, “Seeing her here made me even more excited to meet my baby girl in a few months!”

The sisters hoped to have children close in age, inspired by their relationship as identical twins.
“Growing up as twins, it always felt like I had a built-in best friend, and we wanted to do the same for our kids,” Allie explained. “It is also important because since we are identical twins, although the children may be cousins, genetically they will be siblings.”
Amy agrees that having grandchildren born so close together will create a unique bond.
As for what baby Jordan will name, Amy is still undecided. “Will it be Gigi, Coco, Mimi, Nonna? I don’t know,” he said. “I think you call me anything.”
Another thing he knows? She plans to become a hands-on grandmother. “I’m going to hurt them,” Amy said with a laugh. “I can’t wait to share all the time with them. I will be very close to them.”
For now, the proud mother and newly-made grandmother are just basking in the joy of a growing family.
“I’m very thankful for my family,” said Amy Us. “It’s really surreal, and I’m very happy. To be responsible as a grandparent, it’s a joy. It’s a joy. It’s not hard work at all. We’re very lucky.”
