Bunny Xo Says Jelly Roll’s Daughter Is ‘Mad’ About Divorce

“I don’t like to speak for Bailey. You guys know that. … Before this podcast, I text her and say, ‘Hey, I’m doing a podcast. Do you want to defend me or anything like that?'” Bunnie, 46, said on the Thursday, June 18, episode of her “Dumb Blonde” podcast. “And his big thing is — and I get this — that we need more empathy in this world and people need to stop treating us the way they treat us. Because we’re human. And he’s like, ‘I get that we’re famous people, but at the same time, you know, stop expecting too much from us because you don’t deserve it.’

Bunnie noted that she understood where the teenager was coming from and reminded the audience that she would do anything for Bailey.

“Guys, you have to remember that you are 18. I just turned 18,” he continued. “The only woman he had with him consistently in his life, he feels that he is being taken away from him and it is a strange change that we have to go through. Yes, I am upset, because I was always the parent who disciplined him in his relationship because he pleases my father all the time.”

Bunnie is not the only one who is angry with him. “He’s mad at his dad for what he did. And hey, he deserves to feel that way,” Bunnie said. “So he’s going to have feelings. He’s going to unfollow me on Instagram and text me the next day and tell me to follow him. That’s how it is now.”

Bunnie insisted that she wasn’t going to stop Bailey from having strong feelings about what was going on in their lives.

“This is what we’re dealing with right now and I don’t care,” he said. “That’s my child, I love him, if he wants to be angry with me for two years, I will deal with him, but when he is ready to come back, I will always be there.”

Us Weekly confirmed on Monday, June 15, that Jelly Roll, 41, filed for divorce from Bunnie one month before their nearly 10-year marriage. (The country singer has two children — Bailey and Noah — from a previous relationship.)

Shortly after the news of the two’s breakup broke, Bailey shared her thoughts on TikTok on Tuesday, June 16.

“It pisses me off how everyone is giving in to a secret family affair. It’s crazy,” she wrote of a photo of herself in bed. “Go somewhere else. I’m worried ’bout your house — not mine. I’m not talking about it — yet.”

Both Bunnie and Jelly Roll have since spoken out about their split, opening up about what went wrong.

“My wife and I are best friends. We’ll always be best friends. We just got off the phone today,” Jelly Roll said on stage in New York on Thursday. “Nobody fooled anybody. He just did a podcast about it all. You can go watch it. Every word of it is true.”

He continued, “That will be my best friend forever. This is the only time I will ever talk. Bunnie, I love you baby. Thank you for those 10 years. They were amazing. Thank you for the next 10 years of friendship and 20 more.”

Bunnie, meanwhile, shut down rumors about the breakup – including that she was cheating on Jelly Roll and dating the Nickelback singer. Chad Kroeger.

“This is so wrong. … It’s embarrassing,” he said on his podcast. “God, it’s so sad that the internet can just run on narrative and people just run with it.”
