Lydia Plath Denies Husband Taking Her ‘Away From My Family’

Lydia Plath sets the record straight on her move to Colorado, saying that her husband, Zac Wysehe didn’t steal her away from her reality TV family.
“My husband never ‘took me and my family away,'” Lydia, 22, wrote on Instagram on Wednesday, June 3, alongside a video of herself exploring the mountains of Colorado. “He brought me home.”
I Welcome to Plathville star revealed, “I’m still pushing myself every day. The mountains have been calling and now I’m calling them home.”
Lydia chose to be Ela Langley“Loving Life Again” plays in the background of the outdoor video, seemingly confirming that she’s in a happy place with Zac, 24, in the Centennial State.
Lydia, who married Zac in February 2025, also briefly explained her decision to move from Florida to Colorado after one year of marriage, noting that she still loves her parents, she is being kicked out. Kim Plath again Barry Plathand eight siblings.
“Yes, my family is at home❤️,” Lydia wrote on Instagram, clarifying her relationship with this group. “I talk to them every day and I can’t wait for them to visit me.”
Most of the family lives in Cairo, Georgia, where the Plath farm is located. Lydia and Zac, meanwhile, are settling in Tallahassee, Florida, following their 2025 wedding. They announced in May that they had moved to Colorado, which is where they first met and fell in love.

Courtesy of Lydia Plath/Instagram“I always knew from a young age that I would not live there forever,” said Lydia about her hometown. “The mountains have always had my heart, and when Zac and I got engaged, I was planning to move to Colorado.”
She also explained that their timeline changed when they got married, noting that Zac “knew I wasn’t ready to leave my family yet. Especially my little sisters🥹❤️ So he moved to FL with me and that was the right decision for a season.”
Lydia said, “But when the time was right, we happily returned to Colorado and I couldn’t be happier!🥹✨❤️🏔️🫎💛.”

During Tuesday’s episode, June 2, Lydia and Zac were accused of criticizing their sister Moriah Plathhis lifestyle and some of his siblings who drink alcohol or get involved in things that the couple does not see fit for a person who loves God.
“You [said you] he did not approve of the games he played, such as dirty card games and the movies or TV he watched. It’s ‘disrespectful to God,’ Kim, 53, told Lydia during her visit.” “That’s what I was told. So this is your chance to guide me.”

Lydia later admitted that Moriah had alcohol at her house when Amber, 17, was younger and watched TV with “more F-bombs in one episode than I hear at work in a week,” it “worries” her and Zac.
Despite the on-screen drama, Lydia maintains that her and Zac’s decision to move to Colorado has always been part of their life plan.
“We made it to Colorado!!!💛🏔️ I’m so thankful for the 15 months we spent in Tallahassee and being close to my family but Colorado has always had my heart,” she wrote on Instagram in May, after arriving in the city. “And when Zac and I met, we were going to live in Colorado. But at the last minute we decided it was better to stay in Tallahassee for a while.”
He remembers, “And looking back, it was the right decision and I wouldn’t have it any other way. 🤍I’ll miss sleepovers with my sister🥹nights at the farm with my mom ❤️ and Sunday afternoon games with my dad🩵.”
Lydia concluded, “But for now, I’m going to enjoy all the adventures Colorado has to offer and I can’t wait for everyone to visit🤗.
