“Opera is 400 years old. Ballet is 500 years old,” Doja said in March. “Someone named Timothée Chalamet – a great guy – had the audacity to say on camera that no one cares. I’m sure you could walk into an opera house, the seats would be filled, and no one would say a word as the play went on because everyone is so respectful.”

“There’s good manners around opera. There’s respect around ballet. It’s amazing. It’s amazing theater. It’s beautiful,” he continued.

“There are still listeners. People talk to each other. You seem to be wearing a nice dress, sit down and shut the f*** up,” he concluded. “That’s normal behavior in those things. Maybe learn something from that.”

In accordance with PeopleDoja then returned his comments to the second TikTok video, declaring, “I’m going to come out and say I don’t know anything about opera. I don’t know anything about ballet. I’ve never been to ballet. I’ve never seen an opera. And I made a commitment yesterday to give it to a man because there’s a culture based on their anger and things like people feel they need that thing. communication, whether it’s good or bad.”

“What I did yesterday was to show good because I wanted to communicate, and I knew that Timothée’s mixing was something I could use so that people could connect with me and have fun with me,” he continued. “And it’s easy. It’s a modern way to get clicks, likes, approvals, and all kinds of things like that from people. And I did that yesterday, and I didn’t think about what I was doing.”
