Dutton Ranch EP Breaks the Silence on Shocking Showrunner Shooting

News about Dutton Ranch the loss of its producer in a surprise move has finally been addressed.
A great producer Christina Voros break his silence about Chad Feehan‘s reported the shooting, he told ScreenRant earlier this month that the screenwriter did “an excellent job of building the world of Rip and Beth’s enemies” Yellowstone a spinoff.
Voros noted that when it came to “things that changed after his departure,” he didn’t have much to add. He went on to say that the Dutton Ranch at that time “had not yet arrived in the world” so a future without Feehan was “beyond” his knowledge on the matter.
The director expressed his gratitude to Feehan and his team for “creating a world for these characters to enter.”
News broke in April that Feehan would not be returning as a showrunner after ending her career in season 1. Feehan, who created Lawmen: Bass Reeves with Taylor Sheridanit is said that he left Dutton Ranch after the alleged conflict with the stars of the series Cole Hauser again Kelly Reilly, among others.
Sheridan and his producing partner David Glasserand the two leads, were said to be unhappy with Feehan’s handling of the production rather than the script. None of the actors are yet to speak publicly about the producer’s exit.

Sheridan, on the other hand, has been focusing on her other shows, including Landman, Mayor of Kingstown, lion again Tulsa King. News broke in October 2025 that Sheridan had closed a major deal with NBCUniversal. The five-year film, TV and broadcast deal will begin on January 1, 2029, after Sheridan TV’s deal with Paramount – which expires in 2028 – officially expires.
Priority will retain the rights to Yellowstone and other franchises established by Sheridan under his contract with the company, so he is expected to create a brand new IP for NBCUniversal. Sheridan’s move comes after Paramount’s recent merger with Skydance.
