A Minnesota couple has been arrested after allegedly sexually abusing a missing 14-year-old girl, who police found in a mailbox in their bedroom.
Angeline Olson again Andrew Olson were charged with sexual assault, according to records obtained by KARE. Andrew, 49, was also charged with three counts of possession of child sexual abuse material.
Police began investigating the matter when it was reported that the teenager was missing from school on May 26, according to KATU. Officers first spoke to the girl’s father and learned that she may have gone to a friend’s house.
Officers from the Oakdale Police Department went to the house and spoke to Angeline, 47, who denied lying on her back that the young woman was in the house. Angeline added that she would have driven him home if he had been seen there.
The police returned to the couple’s home around 1:30 am on May 27 after neighbors reported that a girl who appeared to be naked was standing outside with the couple.
“The next thing you know, a little girl runs out of the house, naked,” said a neighbor Teaira Venneswho called the police, told KARE. “Then I noticed that this woman, Angeline in the woods, is coming out of the woods, and she is naked, her upper half is already out.
The police then searched the house and found the girl in a cardboard box under a pile of clothes in the bedroom. Authorities say they also found multiple images showing the girl performing sexual acts on adults on Angeline and Andrew’s phones.
After being discovered, both Angeline and Andrew were arrested.
This incident left the neighbors shocked, many people were saddened by what the couple allegedly did to the child.
“It’s just disgusting that people would do that to children,” Nathan Pierce said.
Pierce also told the agency that she has called the police at least a dozen times about the Olsons since they moved into a nearby apartment four years ago.
“It’s not just another story, it’s another tragic victim, another little girl,” added Vennes. “After going through this, I couldn’t imagine what happened to my daughter.”

Neighbors also said that the couple’s children were taken from their home earlier this year by Child Protective Services. However, this girl kept going to them. It was unclear how they knew the victim.
It is not yet clear whether Angeline or Andrew put themselves in their shoes following their arrest.
However, Andrew’s lawyer, John Chitwoodtold KARE that “his client is presumed innocent and looks forward to clearing his name where it counts: in court.”
The Oakdale Police Department confirmed this Us Weekly to assist the Maple Police Department with the arrest. The Maple Police Department, which is handling the investigation, did not immediately respond to Us’ request for comment on the case.
